Staking PAPER
The documentation describes instant stake and unstake with no cooldown or lockup. A staked balance begins participating in reward accounting when it is deposited.
Where USDC rewards come from
One stream is a share of LP-side protocol revenue from settlements. A second stream can come from LP excess above the documented staker reward cap.
Claiming rewards
Accrued USDC remains in staking reward accounting until claimed. The app can credit claimed USDC back to the user Papertrade trading balance.
Revenue share, not fixed yield
Papertrade staking rewards are based on protocol distributions, not a fixed interest rate. A wallet's reward share depends on its staked PAPER relative to the staking pool when revenue is allocated. Historical reward rates can describe what happened over a period, but they do not guarantee a future APY.
How staking share changes
If more PAPER enters the staking pool while a wallet's stake is unchanged, that wallet owns a smaller percentage of future distributions. Conversely, unstaking stops future participation while already accrued claimable rewards remain part of the reward accounting described by the protocol.
